Additional Information: Falkor is a big, friendly guy, just like the Luck Dragon he is named after. Perhaps he will help you on your quest to save Fantasia, but we know for sure that he will be cuddly and sweet along the way. Falkor is obviously exquisitely handsome, but he is also an extreme cuddler. His entire mission in life is to be on you, or near you at all times. He's very easygoing, and if you find the need to rearrange yourself, he'll just go with it and move himself into a bigger pile of mush. He just craves a good head scratch, and will headbutt you until you meet his head scratch needs, which is quite endearing. This guy is not afraid to ask for what he wants! His foster mom reports that he's extremely friendly, and happily greets any visitors.

Falkor isn't a complete napper though, and will definitely chase around toys, and loves to scope out the neighborhood through the window. He's got a lot of love to give and on top of that, he is good with both dogs and cats. Apply for him today!

If you are interested in meeting a cat, we require an adoption application. Visit www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html to apply. If a cat has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.

If a cat has "NEEDS FOSTER" listed, they are still available for adoption. Information about fostering and our current cat foster needs can be found here: www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-kitty.html

City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our animals (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Our cat adoption fee is $150 unless noted. Prior to arrival, all of our cats are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, FVRCP, and Feline leukemia. They are microchipped and tested for FIV and FeLV. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet.

We do our best to disclose all health records and known health conditions to adopters. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations and health tests, but does not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR & CK.  City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
